CAMPBELL L. “C.L.” WHITE

 

C. L. was born in Chesterfield, he was a son of the late John Riley and Virginia Davis White. He served in the SC National Guard and retired from Fluor Daniel. C. L. was a farmer and enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He was a member of Lower Macedonia Baptist Church where he was in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.

 

  He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Chase Compton; two brothers, Charles Ray White, James “J, B.” White; and two sisters, Ethel Stipe and Mary Ruth Moore.   

 

Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, Harriet Griggs White; are three daughters, Lynn White, Nancy Compton (Carl) and Melanie Flynn (Michael), all of Cheraw; four grandchildren, Calvin Caulder (Raquel), Ashley Clark (Brian), Colt Compton (Scarlett) and Journey Overstreet; six great grandsons, Garrett Caulder, Seth Mansanarez, Airel Caulder, Cooper, Payne and Gunner Compton; a brother, Tony White (Martha) of Greenville; and a sister, Betty Watson (Jerry) of Sumter; along with several nephews and nieces.

 

           Services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends before the service from 1-2 pm at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will follow at Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens.

 

Memorials may be made to Lower Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 1594 Cheraw, SC 29520. (For a flagpole to be placed in honor of all those who serve our country)  

 

Pallbearers will be, Clifford Stipe, Jimmy White, James Mansfield, Eddie Lang, David Griggs, Cody Teal.

Honorary escort will be, Mickey and Barbara Ann Roscoe, Virgil and Mildred Crenshaw, Bubba and Wanda Lewis, Sue and Danny Lee, Jr. and Ken Teal
