Karen Ann Ward, 28, of Hobson, Montana, passed away unexpectedly with her husband Nolan by her side, holding her hand on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls, Montana.  Karen was born in Lewistown, Montana on October 1, 1991 to Roger and Sonya Petersen.  Karen attended high school in Hobson and was active in volleyball, basketball and cheerleading.  Upon graduation in 2010, she went on to further her education at MSU Bozeman.  Karen returned to Hobson and went to work for Ballyhoo Printing and Design.  She then started her own photography business, KPhotography.  Karen married Nolan Ward on September 17, 2016 in Hobson.  Together they have two children, Delaney Marie (5) and Brynlee Ann (1).  Karen was a very talented designer and photographer.  She loved being outside and spending time with her girls; they meant everything.  Karen was an outstanding mother, wife, and daughter.  She will be dearly missed by all.  Preceding her in death are her brothers, Ben and Chris Petersen; her aunt, Sandra Petersen; and grandparents, Tamra Buck, Sharon Petersen, and Bill Golub.  Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Nolan; children, Delaney and Brynlee; parents Roger and Sonya Petersen; grandparents, Jim and Barb Ward, Roger Petersen, Sr., and Valentina Golub; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.      Viewing will be held at Creel Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2020, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 19, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at the Hobson High School Gymnasium.  Interment will follow at the Lewistown City Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Arrangements are under the care of Creel Funeral Home.  Karen’s family and friends can share memories and condolences at <a href="http://www.creelfuneralhome.com">www.creelfuneralhome.com</a>
