He was a talker and could talk a long mile to anyone who would listen. Ed enjoyed rodeo announcing and dabbled in rodeo in college. He worked as a State Meat Inspector for the State of Wyoming, then circumstances forced him into the construction world, where he worked at various places crushing rock. Ed loved his family, his “puppies”, their grandchildren and playing his guitar. Music provided Ed a way to relax and share his stories through his guitar. His voice provided entertainment for friends and family for all kinds of occasions. He will be sadly missed by all. Ed is survived by one son Colton Wyatt Starkey of Spokane, Washington; his significant other for 25 years, Kate Miller of Buffalo, Wyoming; two brothers Gary Starkey and his wife Sophie of Thermopolis, Wyoming and Danny Starkey of Shoshoni, Wyoming; one sister Linda Smith and her husband Randy of Saratoga, Wyoming; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, step-children and a host of friends.
