<p>Michael Allen Stapleton, age 52 of Morristown, passed away peacefully at St Thomas Hospital, where they took excellent care of him, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.</p> <p> </p> <p>An avid reader, Michael was a hard-working dedicated employee of Save-A-Lot in Morristown. He was a 1985 graduate of Morristown-Hamblen West. He was well taken care of by his sister Stacy for many years. He enjoyed comic books, coffee, and always helping others; especially with gifts.</p> <p> </p> <p>Michael was preceded in death by his parents Kathryn Susong Stapleton and Thomas Stapleton, and his uncle, James Allen Susong.</p> <p> </p> <p>He was survived by his sisters Stacy Stapleton, Stephanie Stapleton, Leslie (Jimmy) Acuff, Tommie Kinsler, and Lori Longhenry. He was also survived by his nieces and nephews Hunter and Hayden Acuff, Olivia and Allen Longhenry, and Audrey, Walker, and Avery Kinsler.</p> <p> </p> <p>The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Mayes Mortuary Chapel. To follow Hamblen County Covid-19 protocol, we do ask that while visiting the funeral home, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
