Richard Marion Fraley, Jr.

Mr. Richard Marion Fraley, Jr., 70, died Wednesday (September 9, 2020) at Baptist Village Retirement Communities. He was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. Richard graduated from Waycross High School in 1968, and he retired from the State of Georgia Mental Health & Disability Rehabilitation. Affiliated with the Baptist faith, he was formerly a Scoutmaster with the Boys Scouts of America in Blakely, GA, Marion County, GA and Waycross. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed football. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Marion Fraley, Sr. and Winona Mae Lacey Fraley. Survivors include two brothers, Rodgers L. Fraley, Sr. (Basilee) of Waycross, and Randall E. Fraley of Waycross; one sister, Terri Ann Davis (Timmy) of Blackshear; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday (September 12, 2020) at Music Funeral Home. Family request donations be made to Okefenokee Humane Society, 1501 Blackwell Street, Waycross, GA 31501. RIchie was a great friend in high school. He was always positive, friendly, and willing to help whenever he could. I am sorry to learn of his passing. I pray for comfort for his family and friends.

I met Richie when we became back door neighbors when I was 11 . My younger brother is also named Ritchie!! So he became big Richie and my brother little Ritchie. Our families have some great memories growing up.
