Marjorie Lynn Malara-Mueller

<p><span style="font-size:22px;">Marjorie Lynn Malara-Mueller age 71, of Hays, Kansas died Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at the Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born August 11, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York to Elia J. and Marjorie (George) Malara.&nbsp; She married Franklin&nbsp; Mueller in 1967.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">She was a Physician&rsquo;s Assistant for a number of years and an elementary educator in New York.&nbsp; She grew up in Brooklyn, was a 1967 graduate of Bay Ridge High School, and attended Pace University in Manhattan, New York.&nbsp; She and her husband lived in&nbsp; Port Richey, Florida for a few years and they moved to Hays in 2001. She was Past President of The Friends of the Hays Public Library, she participated in the Prairie Garden Club, the Herb Study Guild and Masters Gardeners.&nbsp; She enjoyed her friends, family, her pets, one chorkie and two puggles.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Survivors include her husband, Franklin Mueller, of the home; one daughter, Sandra Mueller-Aldrich, Hays; KS; one brother, Gerald Malara, Hays, KS; one sister-in-law, Kathleen Malara, New Jersey; two granddaughters, Briana Aldrich, Wichita, KS; Alex Aldrich, Hays, KS; seven nephews and nieces; four grandnephews and grandnieces; and a former son-in-law, Troy Aldrich, LaCrosse, KS.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Elia George Malara and Charlie Malara.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">A private memorial service will be held at a later date due to the COVID-19 restrictions.&nbsp;A private family inurnment will be at St. John&rsquo;s Cemetery in Middle Village, New York.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to The Friends of the Hays Public Library in care of the mortuary.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Services are entrusted to Cline&rsquo;s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Condolences can be sent via e-mail to clinesmortuary@eaglecom.net or can be left at guest book at www.keithleyfuneralchapels.com&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
