Jerry Wayne Gelezinsky, “Pollock” as he was affectionately known to friends and family, was a resident of Fair Bluff, NC.  He died on September 9, 2020.  He was 74 years old.  "Pollock" was an avid hunter and lover of all things outdoors, enjoyed his bird dogs, and cooking and cracking jokes with his beloved buddies.  

 

"Pollock" was born in Conway, SC on August 31, 1946; the son of Bernice Gerrald Worley and D.A. “Buck” Worley. 

 

"Pollock" was a well known and loved tobacco buyer for RJ Reynolds Tobacco, working all over the US and overseas. He retired from Japanese Tobacco International.  "Pollock" had been married to the love of his life, Zola Gail Ward, of the home, for 54 years on August 26, 2020.  

 

A private memorial service will be held at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff, NC.  

 

Surviving is his two sons, Bryan Gelezinsky of Fair Bluff and Barry Gelezinsky, and his wife, Lori of Tabor City.   Pollock was a loving father and grandfather to grandchildren Brady Chance Gelezinsky; and Layla Gelezinsky Fonvielle and her husband Caleb.  

 

He has one sister, Pam Worley of Oak Island, NC.  

 

In lieu of flowers, at your special time today, raise your glass to “Pollock” and remember all the good times you had with him.  Memorials can be made in Pollock’s honor to a special person in your life.
