Beatrice M. Toffolo Lynbrook, New York Obituary

Beatrice M. Toffolo

We celebrate the life of Beatrice “Chickie” Toffolo who died on September 10th after a battle with dementia and kidney-related issues at 92 years old. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ronald of 69 years, four children, Ronnie married to MariElyn, Bobby married to Annmarie, Kenny married to Doreen and Barbara Ann and her boyfriend John. She has nine grandchildren, Craig married to Michelle, Christopher married to Megan, Michael married to Sofie, Rob engaged to Kaitlyn, Daniel, Karyn, Kyle, Laura and Tracy and six great-grandchildren, Juliana, Danielle, Liv, Linnéa, James and Lukas. Bea was born on May 14, 1928 in Manhattan, NY to Angelo and Calogera Campione. She was the youngest of five children and was the last survivor of her siblings which included: Brother Al, Sister Josephine married to Tom, parents of Jack (who was like a baby brother to her), Sister Lucy and her beloved big-brother Tony. She met her husband Ron in 1944 and they were married after he returned from active duty in the Navy on September 22, 1951. Bea had a big heart and always put everyone else’s needs before her own. She was a shining example of selflessness and instilled that spirit of giving in her children, grandchildren, and everyone she met. She loved to cook for her family on holidays and spend time with her large extended family. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, getting down on all fours for hours at a time. She was a picky eater, but loved seafood (especially lobsters and crab), artichoke hearts and corn on the cob. However, at her core, she was a manic chocoholic, often smuggling pieces to bed to enjoy as she retired for the evening and waking in the morning to a melted mess. If you would prefer, in lieu of flowers, you can donate in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association,
