<p>Sherri Lee Sweet, 72, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 11:40 pm in Michigan City, Indiana.</p> <p>A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.</p> <p>She was born April 27, 1948 in Michigan City, IN to the late Kenneth Short and Josephine (Stroup) Stienke.</p> <p>Surviving are two sons, Robert Heuer, Kerry (Julie) Moore of Michigan City, IN; daughter, Kelli Claypool (Moore); 12 grandchilden; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters, Carol (Bob) Hoenig, Laura Steinke; three nieces, Kristina (Darrin) Gurnicz, Danielle (Rick) Davis, Beverly Montgomery; nephew, Charles (Gina) Moore; grandparents, John (Alma) Stroup. She was preceded in death by step-father, Robert Stienke.</p> <p>Sherri graduated from Elston High School in 1968. She enjoyed watching wrestling and doing word search puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p> <p>Contributions may be made to the family of Sherri Sweet.</p>

She was born April 27, 1948 in Michigan City, IN to the late Kenneth Short and Josephine (Stroup) Stienke.
