Ashley Nicole Barkley, age 34, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.  She was born December 2, 1985 in Chamblee, Georgia and moved to Tennessee after graduating from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where she held a Double Major in Psychology & Art Therapy.  She was employed by the State of Tennessee, working for Tennessee Department of Children Services with over 10 years as a Placement Manager.  Ashley was loved by her co-workers and spent many nights trying to find the correct placement home for many precious children. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  Ashley was an Angel on earth to so many.  She especially loved her family and was always seeing to the needs of others.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
