Jewelene Hayes Calhoun, age 77 years, of Revelo, Kentucky died Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Blue Heron, Kentucky on June 6, 1943 the daughter of Hence and Nova (Watters) Dobbs. Jewelene was a homemaker and member of the Old Beech Grove Baptist Church. The joy of her life was visiting, family reunions, and taking care of her family, friends, but especially her great grandchildren as their granny taxi.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Maynard Hayes and Wendell Calhoun; daughters, Brenda Ann Hayes, Betty Jean Hayes, and Lisa Renee Hayes; brothers, Estle Dobbs, Ellard Dobbs, Elbert Dobbs, Elzie Dobbs, Gilbert Watson, Doyle Watson and Clifford Watson; sisters, Mary Jo Stephens, Evelyn Wright, Velva Winchester, Edith Anderson, and Alfie Watson; daughter-in-law, Dora Hayes; son-in-law, Gene Delk; and grandson, Bruce Hayes, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Bruce Denver Hayes of Revelo; daughter, Belinda Bowling and husband, Charlie of Helenwood, Tennessee; step-daughters, Julie Capley of Whitley City, Bridgett Dixon of North Carolina, and Roberta Davis of Revelo; brother, JB Watson and wife, Joyce of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother-in-law, Henry Stephens also of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jessica Jones (Donnie Maynard), John Derek Bowling (Nicola), Brandon Bowling (Kayla), and Scottie Delk (April); and great grandchildren, Emma, Alex, Joe, Brianna, Jayden, and Autumn Maynard, Maddy, Noah, Faith, Eli, and Aiden Bowling, Teegan and Addie-Jo Bowling, Trevor, Trace and LeeAnn Hayes; and Chloe, Asher, and Maggie Delk; and numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Rufus Hughes and Bro. George Coffey officiating. Burial will be in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, September 11, 2020 at the funeral home.
