Kim "Bones" Robbins Obituary

Kim N. “Bones” Robbins, age 56, resident of Old Shawneetown, passed on this life peacefully, Wednesday September 9, 2020, surrounded by his family at his home.  Kim was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on January 13, 1964 to the late Billy Ray and Phyllis (Dozier) Robbins.   The Robbins family moved Illinois when Kim and his brothers were small, because of the Coal mines.

He graduated from Shawneetown High School, and was a proud Truck Driver his entire life until his sickness forced him to retire.  He loved to be outside, especially hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed Nascar, Mud Bogs and just being around his family and friends.  Bones as most knew him, always had smile and a story for you, and loved to kid you.  On May 11, 2013 he married the former Penny Tanner Robbins who survives.

Bones is survived by his wife Penny of Old Shawneetown, his son Luke Robbins of Junction, 2 brothers, Billy (Julie) Robbins of Shawneetown and Marty (Brittany) Robbins of Fransisco, IN. His mother in law, Kay Rehbein of Junction.  Many Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation for Bones will Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  His funeral will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Robinson officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
