A Memorial Service for Jack will be held on the lawn of Durabla Canada at 293 University Ave. Belleville at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday September 12th, 2020. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 the numbers are limited to 100 guests only. We also ask that you bring your own lawn chair for your protection and receive directions from the pallbearers for proper spacing. If you happen to be the 101st person, please plan to visit with our family at a later date and understand we are sorry for the conditions we must observe. Bereavement Authority of Ontario Attendance Directive During the past three years we were blessed with many great PSWs and nurses and we are so grateful for their care and compassion. When Jack suffered a stroke Mother’s Day weekend, God blessed us with a live-in caregiver, Connie Garvey, for whom we give God thanks. Because of her work along side of Janice, and an outstanding & caring Doctor, Janet Webb, Jack was able to remain in his own home for his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of three charities of Jack’s choice: 1) Alzheimer’s Society of Hastings - Prince Edward 2) The Gathering Church, Stirling (Missions) 3) Community Foundation of Kingston Area: Terry Harris Endowment, for families impacted by Incarceration. A Private Interment at White Lake Cemetery was entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273).
