Link to Funeral Service: https://youtu.be/27Y97QRX0wA Norman Roderick “Roddy” Adams, age 66 of Cape George, Antigonish Co. passed away peacefully on September 8, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving family after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was a son of the late Alex and Ella (MacPhie) Adams. Roddy’s work life consisted of a 50 year career in heavy construction, lobster fishing and long haul truck driving. Roddy’s passions included restoring antique tractors, tinkering in his shop, storytelling and being surrounded by family, especially his eight grandchildren whom he adored. Roddy instilled strong family values and the importance of a strong work ethic in his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debbie (Chisholm), children Kendra (Daryl) Taylor, BC; Sandy (Kathy), Alberta; Corine (Alex) MacLean and Rodney (Ashley), of Antigonish; eight grandchildren - Dylan, Emma, Zoe, Liam, Sophia, Owen, Finnin and Lachlan; siblings Allan, Keith, Brian, Karen, Kevin, Ellen, Gordon and Teddy. Besides his parents he was predeceased by siblings Forbes, Wayne, Fred, Gary and Lois. Visitation will be held Friday, September 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish with Funeral Service Saturday at 11 am in St. David's Cemetery, Cape George, Rev. Peter Smith presiding.Covid-19 protocols will be required. Memorial donations may be made to VON Antigonish, Antigonish Town and County Palliative Care Society or the IWK.
