Betty Lou Crooks, 83, of Parker, CO passed away on September 9, 2020 just two days short of her 84th birthday.  She was born in Kansas City, MO on September 11, 1936 to Emil and Elsie (Bigelow) Carlson.  Betty attended and graduated in 1954 from Shawnee Mission High School in Shawnee Mission, KS.  She married Ronald Eugene Crooks on February 15, 1958 at Broadway Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO.  She was a housewife, who loved to garden, growing plants and flowers. She later worked in retail once her children were grown.  She attended the Cross Points Church in Shawnee Mission, KS regularly.  

Betty is survived by her daughter Beverly Franco of Albany, OR, her son Peter (Julie) Crooks of Parker, CO, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 4 nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Elsie Carlson.
