Anne Aycock Cox

Anne Aycock Cox, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Magnolia Cottage in Dover. Anne was born in Wayne County on March 7, 1930 to the late Donald Jefferson Aycock and Mary Effie Kelly Aycock. She was married to the late Chester Joseph Cox. Anne worked with Wayne Memorial Hospital for many years. She was an active member of Goldsboro Friends Meeting and was a member of the William Penn Sunday School Class. A private graveside service celebrating Anne’s life will be held in Willow Dale Cemetery. Anne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Debra Cox of Kinston; her grandchildren, Matthew Dameron and wife, Lisa, Jonathan Dameron and wife, Merry Lee, and Carl Cox and wife, DeeDee; 5 great grandchildren; and sister, Donna Rose of Ayden. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and David Dameron; her brother, Aubrey Aycock and wife Chris, and brother-in-law Bob Rose. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Goldsboro Friends Meeting, 700 Guilford Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
