William Joseph Sambolich, age 80, of Decatur, died Monday, September 7, 2020, at Huntsville Hospital.  His family will host a private memorial service at his residence.  Shelton Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. Sambolich was born April 20, 1940, in Pennsylvania, to Peter Paul Sambolich and Veronica McCauley Sambolich.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Mr. Sambolich was a commercial truck driver.  

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Barth Sambolich of Decatur; one son, Billy Sambolich of California; one daughter, Cynthia Kivler (Kenny) of California; two stepsons, Dan Durbin of California and Jim Durbin (Laurie) of Decatur; three stepdaughters, Lindie Guzman of Nevada, Leytha Durbin of California, and Darla Sugg (Peter) of Massey; one brother, Mike Sambolich of California; one sister, Veronica Marlow of California; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
