<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; ROGER ALAN LUPKES, age 72, of Rushmore, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. He was born July 5, 1948, in Worthington, to Aielt and Ethel (Hieronimus) Lupkes. Roger attended Adrian High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Roger married Henrietta Broesder on May 20, 1972, in Little Rock, IA. The couple lived in Ellsworth and later in Missouri before moving to Roger&rsquo;s family farm near Rushmore in 1982. He also owned and operated Lupkes Tiling before retiring in 1996.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rushmore. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, western movies and his dog, Dixie.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Roger is survived by his wife, Henrietta Lupkes, Rushmore; son, Randy Lupkes, Rushmore; brother, Donald (Eileen) Lupkes, Tuscan, AZ; and many brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many nieces &amp; nephews.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Halle Ann Lupkes in 2000; four brothers, Richard, Francis, William and Dennis Lupkes; and a sister, Janice Everson.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp;A time of fellowship will be from 12 noon to 1:30 pm Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A memorial service will be at 1:30 pm Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Dan Dettman.    ROGER ALAN LUPKES, age 72, of Rushmore, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington. He was born July 5, 1948, in Worthington, to Aielt and Ethel (Hieronimus) Lupkes. Roger attended Adrian High School. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
