Armand Lussier

Armand Lussier was born in LaPrairie, Quebec on October 8, 1929 the son of Elizabeth (Leith) and Jean-Marie Lussier. He worked on farms in Canada since the age of 10 years old. At the age of 16 to 21 he came to Champlain to work on the Victor Bechard farm and lived with them. He went back to Canada and worked night shifts at the LaPrairie Brickery. He then meets the love of his life Gilberte Fortin and got married on February 27, 1954. That same year on April 1st they purchased the Vincent Jerry farm that was published in the Canadian gazette. He has been there for 66 years. He worked very hard all his life and dairy farming is what he wanted to do. He is survived by a daughter Carmen Lussier, grandson Eric Lussier Deso and companion Autumn Murphy, granddaughter Lynn Lussier Deso and companion Craig Dumas, great grandson Thomas Dumas and great granddaughter Brianna Dumas and also his beloved dog cupcake. Also survived by his brothers and sisters Girard (Noella) Lussier, Jacques (Lyne) Lussier, Louise Lussier, Monique Lussier, Pauline Lussier and several nieces and nephews. Armand was predeceased by his parents, his wife Gilberte Lussier and a son Claude Lussier and several brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be Friday, September 11, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, West Chazy. Entombment will follow at the Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum.
