None before her have displayed the love, service, and dedication to her commission on this earth.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Cindy was born to Charles and Irene Hicks on November 4, 1966 at George County Hospital. She was a graduate of Leakesville High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. For 24 years Cindy worked at the South Mississippi Correctional Institute. She served her church, Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, as the Bible School director, as well as Sunday School teacher. With a beautiful voice, she would warm the sanctuary with her vocal talents.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Cindy Hicks Harvison&#39;s legacy lives on in the life of her husband of 23 years, Mitchell Harvison; her son, Derek Cone (Karma); daughters, Chasity Barry (Brent), Madison Harvison, and Sara Harvison; and 5 grandchildren. Cindy also leaves behind her loving mother, Irene Pierce Hicks; sister, Regina Hicks Williams; brother, Charles Hicks, Jr. (Kelley); and a host of nieces and nephews. Cindy was preceded in death by her loving father, Charles Owen Hicks, Sr.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Where there was joy and laughter you would find Cindy. Her brilliant smile and bubbling laughter would light up the darkest room. Her dedication to her family, friends, and church leave an irreplaceable hole for all who loved her.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Cindy&#39;s life will be celebrated at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. The family will welcome friends Friday, September 11, 2020 from 6 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service in honor of her life will be Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11 am with Bro. Gary Hickman officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The Pallbearers include: Brent Barry, Matthew Williams, William Harvison, Wesley Harvison, Robbie Havard and Tom Pierce. Honorary Pallbearers are: Dylan Hicks, Brentley Cain, Dathan Cone and Bryson Barry. Online condolences can be given at www.freemanleakesville.com. On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, Cynthia Odette Hicks Harvison entered into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ and heard the words of the scripture above. None before her have displayed the love, service, and dedication to her commission on this earth.

Cindy was born to Charles and Irene Hicks on November 4, 1966 at George County Hospital. She was a graduate of Leakesville High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. For 24 years Cindy worked at the South Mississippi Correctional Institute. She served her church, Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, as the Bible School director, as well as Sunday School teacher.
