David Charles Krogsrud, 78, of Lapeer formerly of Broken Arrow, OK and Shelby Twp., MI, died Wednesday September 9, 2020. He was born July 8, 1942 in Grand Rapids to parents Olaf and Otilie (Saterbo) Krogsrud. David married Paula I. Gray on March 13, 1965 in Warren. Mr. Krogsrud was a proud Lawrence Tech grad, working as an architect his whole career. He loved classic cars, was a real wordsmith which allowed him to be a real punster. Dave also loved the Lutheran Church (E.L.C.A), where he was in a group that built over 400 ramps for those in need around Tulsa, OK. His wife proclaims, “he was in general a good man.” David is survived by his wife: Paula, children: Matthew (Lynne) Krogsrud of West Bloomfield, Jennifer Warner of Fairhaven, grandchildren: Ethan and Haley Warner, siblings: Jim (Barbara) Krogsrud of Freeland, Richard (Becky) Krogsrud of CA, Jack Krogsrud of Orion Twp., Jared (Dawn) Krogsrud of Ormond Twp. as well as five nieces and nephews. Following Dave’s own wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Memorial services may take place at a later date.
