Larry James Greene

Larry James Greene, age 70, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving wife, daughter, and loved ones. Larry was always known for his love for everybody and was a hard-working, dedicated family man. He loved to make everyone laugh and loved helping everyone. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and son anyone could ever know. I could write a book about my precious Daddy, but my heart is broken. Larry will forever be sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pleas and Bonnie Greene; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anderson “L.A.” and Ada “Tootsie” Livesay; sister-in-law, Brenda Livesay; and special nephew, John Seal. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Linda Greene; daughter, Angie (Michael) Waites; his special granddaughter, Kayla (Matt) Lawson; grandsons, Jeremiah and Robert Waites; sisters, Avonelle “Abby” (Johnny) Ricketts, Gail (Gordon) Stroud, Diane (Larry) Ward, and Annette (Benny) White; brother-in-law, Doug Livesay; sisters-in-law, Ruth (Ray) Kirk, Sharon (Tim) Greene, and Tina (Sam) Cowan; and many special nieces and nephews. Larry loved all his family very much. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 9th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 10th at Duck Creek Baptist Church in Sneedville with Rev. Kester Bunch, Rev. Alan Lamb, and Rev. Doug Livesay officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Duck Creek Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
