Vernon Robert "Bob" Whitehair

Vernon Robert "Bob" Whitehair, 76, of Pennsboro, WV, departed this life on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. Bob was born December 30, 1940 in Terra Alta, WV, a son of the late William D. and Mary Ellen (Boylan) Whitehair. Bob was retired after dedicating 35 plus years of service to AT&T communications where he worked out of the Clarksburg, WV office and in the Pennsboro, WV main station. He greatly enjoyed travelling with his family and loved being outdoors and taking walks in the woods. Bob was a graduate of Kingwood High School with the class of 1959. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Maureen (McCray) Whitehair; children, R.D. Whitehair (Tonya) of Charleston, WV and Lilly Whitehair (Brett) of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren, Teresa, Sara, Krystal, Savannah, Alicia, Taylor, Selina, Lilah, Kevin, great grandchildren, Braxton, Brock, Heidi, & Sofia, and his mother in law, Mavis Johnson of North View, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mavis "Aggie" Ross. A memorial service to honor Bob's life will be 3pm, Thursday, April 20th, 2017, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm-3pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
