Robert Gordon Lauder

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our brother and uncle, Robert (Bob) Lauder on Sunday September 6, 2020 at the Carberry Plains Health Centre at the age of 72 years. Bob was born May 29th, 1948 in Souris, MB to Evelyn & Robert Lauder. He lived on the home farm all his life up until 2017 when mother went into the care home. He enjoyed the country life with many animals. Bob helped mother with the chickens and feeding other animals when they farmed. In the latter years he enjoyed his cats. He kept very good care of them and they always hung around him. In the time before mother went into the care home, he did a lot of care giving to her and did much around the house. They had a very close relationship. That was "her Bob". Everyone said he always had a smile to greet them and a wave when anybody came in the yard. He will be sadly missed in the community. Bob was predeceased by his father Robert in 1950, his mother Evelyn Kilfoyle in 2019, step father Roy Kilfoyle in 1999, sister Beatrice Kopecky in 2008, as well as his brothers-in-law Reg, Jerry and one niece Barbara. He leaves to mourn his sisters Doris Mashinter and Vera (Ian) Soroka; nieces Norma & Brittany, nephews David, Kyle and Brett and by four great nephews Chris, Aaron, Jonah and Sammy. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held on Friday September 11, 2020 at the Sidney Cemetery with Heather Grobb officiating. The service will be available to view online at www.willmorchapel.com later in the day. Friends may sign the memorial register book by emailing jamiesonsfuneralser@mymts.net or call 204-827-2480 and we will insert your name. Condolences may also be submitted by visiting the website. Memorial donations can be made in Bob's memory to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, 825 Sherbrook St, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5 or to a charity of choice.
