James Spradlin of Wartburg, TN
<p>James Edward Spradlin, age 74, passed away September 8, 2020 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge surrounded by his family. He was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church for 20+ years. He enjoyed working with his father in the auto body business and was also an auto body teacher at the Morgan County Vocational Center for several years. James loved race car driving and fishing.</p> <p> </p> <p>He is preceded in death by his father, Gorman Spradlin; sister, Delonha Heidel; brother-in-law, Bill Price.</p> <p> </p> <p>He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Spradlin; son, Jeff Spradlin; daughter, Renea (Tony) Richardson; 3 grandchildren, Jacob (Lindsay) Richardson, Isaiah Richardson, Autumn Spradlin; mother, Geneva Spradlin; sisters, Norma Price, Kay (Wayne) Gibbs, Sandra (Michael) Roysden, Debbie (John) Mallett; brother, Steve (Sue) Spradlin and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.</p> <p> </p> <p>The family will receive friends Friday, September 11, 2020 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Bro. Bill Durham officiating.
