Dennis L. “Bunsen” Anderson, 64, of Newville, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at his home. He was born in Carlisle, on October 31, 1955 to the late Albert and Mary (Brubaker) Anderson. Dennis was employed by Giant Foods before he retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after many years of employment as a machinist and a supervisor. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed shooting pool, playing cornhole, brewing beer, and building model ships. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Terry Anderson of Newville; two daughters, Nicole Harris of Carlisle and Danni (husband Tim) Hutchinson of Shippensburg; five grandchildren, Hannah Brenizer, Jade Hutchinson, Kendall Brenizer, Zachary Hutchinson, and Juliette Harris; three siblings, Nancy (husband Tom) Wise of Mt. Holly Springs, Richard (wife Linda) Anderson of Carlisle, and Cheryl Braught of Reading; and also thought of as a son was Mike (wife Jennifer) Ursitz and their three sons. In addition to his parents, Bunsen was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Anderson. A gathering celebrating Dennis’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Bunsen’s house.
