Karen Jeanne Hoyes died suddenly at home September 1, 2020. Karen was born in Moose Jaw January 8, 1950 and despite intellectual disabilities became an independent adult. She was employed for many years as a kitchen worker at CFB Moose Jaw. She was proud to have obtained her driver’s license and own her own car in her younger years. She was innately cheerful, enjoyed people and was known well by many in her home at Victoria Towers. Karen was predeceased by her father, Jim Hoyes. She is survived by her mother: Ruth Hoyes; her brothers: Brad, Sandy (Hilda), and Chris (Nancy); nephews and nieces: Peter & Mark Hoyes; Deborah, Jennifer & Josiah Hoyes; and Erin (Sean) Gramlich; great nieces and nephew: Malayna, Aidan and Ava.
