<p>William K. Burns, 67, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 7:37 pm in VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, Indiana.</p> <p>A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>He was born June 2, 1953 in Michigan City, IN to the late Lloyd and Thelma (Dolph) Burns.&nbsp;</p> <p>Surviving are two sisters, Diana J. Glosser of Michigan City, IN, Sandra H. Burns of Michigan City, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; two special-friends, Thomas Eldridge, Douglas Wood. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Burns.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>William retired in 2019 after working for 13 years at Ridge Auto parts in Michigan City. He was a 1971 graduate from Elston High School. Upon graduation he proudly went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1972-1976. William enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, wrestling, and old movies.&nbsp;</p> <p>Contributions may be made to St. Jude&#39;s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105 or to the family of William K. Burns.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
