<p>Ms. Shirley Mae Wright, 69, of Yemassee, SC, and mother of Latisha Brown and Shirley Ann Wright, passed away on Saturday, September 05, 2020, at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC. A walk-thru viewing will be Friday, September 11, 2020, from 5 - 7 pm at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Walterboro, SC. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 11 Am at Heavenly Baptist Church Cemetery in Green Pond, SC. Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland, SC is in charge.</p> <p>Shirley Mae Wright was born to the late Rev. Cleveland Wright Sr. and Lovely Wright, on November 19, 1950. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the Medical University of South Carolina. Shirley Mae graduated from Walterboro High School. She grew up in White Hall, SC. Shirley Mae relocated to Wilmington, DE early in life. While in Delaware she worked various jobs for the city of Wilmington. Shirley Mae returned home to South Carolina after retiring from the City of Wilmington.</p> <p>Shirly Mae enjoyed being with family, spending time with her children, and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed for her affectionate smile, soft gentle voice, and caring heart.</p> <p>Shirley Mae was proceeded in death by her parents Rev Cleveland Wright Sr. and Lovely Wright; one daughter, Carleen S. Wright; two sisters, Janet King and Cleo Wright; three brothers, Willie Wright Sr., Herman Lee Wright, and Jimmy Wright.</p> <p>She leaves to cherish her memories, her Common Law husband Sam James; two daughters, Latisha Shontay Brown (Royce) and Shirley Ann Wright; one stepdaughter, Charlena Edwards (Dorian); one sister, Delores Wright; six brothers, Solomon Wright(Shirley), Rev. Jake (Rowena) Wright, Edgar (Eva) Wright, Clyde (Gloria)Wright, and Cleveland Wright Jr; five grandchildren, Tymere Mills, Natisha Hairston, Ta’Naya Grooms, Ty Wright, and Royce Brown Jr.; step-grandchildren, Shanequa Edwards, Jared Edwards, and Jadon Edwards; one great-grandchild Jayden Wright; a devoted niece, Tammy Smith; a host of nieces and nephews in Wilmington DE, and South Carolina.</p>Obituary
