Rose Bernadette (Barrette) Niederberger of Dorchester, passed away early Monday, September 7, 2020.She was the devoted wife of the late Francis L. Niederberger for 55 years until his death in 2003.Rose was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Anna (Caristi) Barrette. Rose was born in South  Boston, but moved with her parents to a new home in Dorchester. Rose lived in that home with her family for more than 70 years until her admittance to Marion Manor3 year’s ago. Rose had 7 children, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her children Maryanne and John Mulattieri of Dorchester, Francis X. and the late Donna  Niederberger of Buzzards Bay, Lois and Manny Debisz of Salem, NH, Mark A. And Mary Niederberger of Dorchester , John A. Niederberger of Taunton, Andrew X. and Karen Niederberger of Topsfield, Rose Ann Montgomery of Quincy.Loving grandmother of Matthew & Amy Niederberger, Allison & Christopher Mulattieri, Eric and Malori Debisz, Dylan and Aidan Montgomery.Great grandmother of Lylah & Riely Niederberger, Rowyn & Madilyn Montgomery, and Brayden Debisz. Rose was a devout  member of Opus Dei and former art teacher at St. Brendan’s School. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the Sisters & staff at the Marian Manor Nursing Home.

Visiting hours in the John J. O’Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER, Thursday from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Gregory’s Church on Friday morning at 10 o’clock. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited. Due to the ongoing health crisis, proper social distancing and facemasks will be required. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
