Harry Clifton Rice, 88, of Falling Waters passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at his residence. Born May 14, 1932 in Martinsburg he was the son of the late Edward Leon and Ruth Ellen Dearing Rice. He retired at the rank of Master Sargent having served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the VFW, Am Vets, and the American Legion. He was also a member of the Harmony United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Lambert Rice; a son, Stephen P. Rice and wife Barbara Ann of Martinsburg; daughters, Ruthanna Hitchcock and husband, Dennis Lapole and Donna Kay Kesler and husband, William all of Falling Waters; a step-son, William M. Kesler and wife, Carrie, of Hagerstown, Maryland; two grandchildren, John Hitchcock and Stephan P. Rice, Jr.; and two step-grandchildren, William C. Kesler and Carrissa Weidel; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Donna Payne of San Francisco, California and Daisy Hite of Martinsburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Anderson Rice; a brother, Thomas Rice; and a sister, Phyllis Faust. The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
