Geraldine Marion May Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late GERALDINE MARION MAY of Frenchman’s Cove announces her passing. Geraldine passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, on Sunday, September 06th, 2020 at the age of 70.


Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Maude Cluett, Brothers Carlson, Leo, Stan, Norman, and Edwin Cluett, baby brothers Leo and Matthew and Sister Viola.


Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are husband Willis; daughters, Marie May-Smith (Darryl), Houston, Texas, and Trina Grandy (Cory), Torbay; 3 grandchildren, Taylor, Kennedy, and Jonah; sister Betty Parsons (Harold), Frenchman’s Cove; brothers Jim Cluett (Jessie), Frenchman’s Cove, Alvin Cluett, Garnish, Ron Cluett, Toronto, and Albert Cluett (Marina), Toronto; plus a large number of relatives and Friends.


The May Family will accept visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home in Creston South. In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place on Monday, Sept. 07th, from 6 pm – 9 pm; and Tuesday, September 08th, from 10:00 am – 11:30 am. A maximum of 20 people at any one time permitted. A private funeral service will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on Tuesday, September 08th, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery in Frenchman’s Cove.


No flowers by request of the family. Donations in Geraldine’s memory may be made to the United Church in Frenchman’s Cove.
