<p>Robert Kenneth Carver, 75, of Columbus, Georgia passed away peacefully on September &nbsp;5, 2020 at Columbus Hospice. A private family burial will be held in Lewis County, Kentucky at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA. 31907.<br /> <br /> Mr. Carver was born September 28, 1944 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He is the son of the late George Washington and Dorothy Louise Carter Carver. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a son Daniel (Tiny) Carver, one sister and three brothers, (Catherine, Norman, Cecil, and Gary.)<br /> <br /> He was raised in Lewis County Kentucky, and served in the U.S. Army for eight years. He then later worked throughout his life in corporate securities and retired from Corporate Security Services located in Kentucky as a General Manager. Two years ago, Mr. Carver moved to Columbus, GA to be closer to his son, David. Mr. Carver enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, music, and particularly had a true love for playing the Banjo.<br /> <br /> Survivors include the following: his wife Lillian Minne Carver of Columbus, Ga.; sons, David Dior (Matthew) of Columbus, GA., Robert Carver (Rebecca) of Lewis County, Kentucky, Frank Carver of Lewis County, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Katelyn Carver, Brittney Carver, Ryan Lumpkins, and Derek Carver all of Lewis County, Kentucky; and, three sisters and two brothers. (Wanda, Marcella, Edna, Butch, and David.)<br /> &nbsp;</p>
