<p>MARSHALL, John Herman peacefully passed away in Qualicum Beach, BC on Friday, September 4th at the age of 78 years. Born in Ottawa, Ontario on September 11th, 1941, to Henry and Audrey Marshall; John is survived by his loving wife Janice of 24 years; sons Christopher and Jeffrey; daughter- in-laws, Patricia and Susan, and grandchildren, Emilia, Aivery and Charlotte.</p> <p>&lsquo;Johnny&rsquo; was an avid hockey player, golfer and softball player throughout his sporting life. He will be remembered for his dedication to the UBC alumni; his fundraising efforts to the Father Bauer Golf Tournaments; Burnaby Stealers Hockey Club alumni and Meralomas alumni.</p> <p>John&rsquo;s sense of humour, integrity, and loyalty to his friends throughout his life will truly be missed by all who had the distinct pleasure of knowing him.</p> <p>Special thanks to the caregivers at the Eagle Park Health Care Facility for their endless amounts of kindness and empathy in support of John and his family.</p> <p>A celebration of his life will take place in the summer of 2021 at John and Janice&rsquo;s home away from home, Horne Lake.</p> <p>Messages of condolences or sharing a memory of John can be written on the Qualicum Beach Memorial Services Ltd. website. qbmemorials.ca</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.</p>

MARSHALL, John Herman peacefully passed away in Qualicum Beach, BC on Friday, September 4th at the age of 78 years. Born in Ottawa, Ontario on September 11th, 1941, to Henry and Audrey Marshall; John is survived by his loving wife Janice of 24 years; sons Christopher and Jeffrey; daughter- in-laws, Patricia and Susan, and grandchildren, Emilia, Aivery and Charlotte.

‘Johnny’ was an avid hockey player, golfer and softball player throughout his sporting life. He will be remembered for his dedication to the UBC alumni; his fundraising efforts to the Father Bauer Golf Tournaments; Burnaby Stealers Hockey Club alumni and Meralomas alumni.
