<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Lemuel (Bill) Mctheny, age 86, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 7:25 pm Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Sarah's Place in Hannibal.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2020, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Lemuel was born on October 19, 1933, in Bolair, West Virginia the son of Cecil and Edith (Ramsey) Mctheny.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home, his children, grandchildren, a sister, nieces and nephews, and his loving dog Henry.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Bill proudly served his country for twenty years in the United States Air Force retiring as a flight engineer. He later worked for Kerr-McGee Gas Company as a truck driver.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Away from work, Bill enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. But his biggest love was the time spent with his family and friends.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Mr. Mctheny attended the Warsaw Christian Church while living in Warsaw, MO.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Hannibal ~ Sarah's Place, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. </span></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 18px;">Online condolences may be made to the family on Bill's memorial page at www.smithfuneralhomeandchapel.com</span></p>October 19, 1933 - September 5, 202010/19/193309/05/2020

So sorry for the loss of your loved one I met him at the nursing home .He was a nice guy and glad to of got to meet him

I took care of Bill briefly at Maple Lawn & we "clicked." I miss him but am happy that he no longer suffers. Fly high sweet man. Until we meet again. Peggy Calvert
