Martha E. Mack, 80, of Parsons, died at 7:40 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Elmhaven Nursing Home in Parsons. She was born November 3, 1939 at Georgetown, Texas, to Willis C. and Lillian W. (Miller) Hickerson. Her early years were spent in Georgetown and she later moved to Parsons with her family and attended Parsons High School. She also attended Labette Community College. She married Alfred Edwards on January 26, 1957 and they later divorced. She married Charles Mack and they divorced. Martha had worked as a paraprofessional for the Parsons school district and for many years was employed at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center as a daycare attendant. She recently had attended the Church of God. Her hobbies included gardening and raising plants. Surviving is daughter, Carol Griffin, of Parsons; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Lucy Hickerson of California, Patricia Reece of Atlanta, Georgia, Frankie Hubbard of Tulsa, Oklahoma and brothers Perry Rowe and Darnell Rowe, both living in Texas. Preceding her in death was her daughter - Cynthia Edwards and six sisters - Gwendolyn Hickerson, Frances McCracken, Ella Sands, Teressa Rowe, Jennie Crawford and Almeda Keefe. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
