Mary Alice Baker, 89, of Good Hope passed away at 8:35 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born on March 29, 1931 in Ipava to Bruce and Mary Alice McGrew David. She married Loren Baker on August 6, 1949 in Ipava. He passed away on October 26, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jim Baker and Dale Baker; one bother, Harold David and one brother in infancy, baby David.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy (Mike) Julien of Good Hope; one son, David Baker of Sciota; five grandchildren, Chad (Becky) Ebey of Good Hope, Cinda (Chad) Rhoads of Good Hope, Craig (Amy) Baker of Canton, Missouri, Alex Martinez of St. Cloud, Minnesota and Brittany (Brad) Haltom of Aurora, Colorado; 11 great-grandchildren; cousin, Bob McGrew  and several nieces and nephews.

Mary lived in Good Hope since 1963. She was a home maker and farm wife and worked several years as an Avon sales representative. She is a member of the Good Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and many other crafts.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a graveside service  on Friday, September 18  2020 at 11:30 AM  at Good Hope Cemetery. Rev. Timothy  Wayne will officiate . A

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to the Good Hope United Methodist Church, the Good Hope Fire and Rescue Squad or St. Jude’s.

Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
