John H. Zoeller

John H. Zoeller, age 73, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 with his loving wife by his side John was born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was a graduate of Maury High school, he attended Old Dominion University and served in the Army National Guard. After spending most of his adult life in the construction field, he began VBMS, Inc. in 1992, where he remained until his retirement in 2015. Upon retiring, he and his wife Gail permanently moved from Va. Beach, Va. To Naples, Fla. where they enjoyed continuous warm weather and relaxing days. In his free time John enjoyed fishing, boating, going to the beach and pool, taking road trips to Florida’s scenic places and riding his electric bike. John was an avid sports enthusiast – a lifelong Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed going to the Washington Nationals baseball games with his friend Sonny Stout. He is preceded in death by his parents, John E Zoeller and Anna Lou Zoeller (Sparks); two brothers, Donald and James Zoeller; and a grandson, Christopher Allen. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 48 years, Gail Zoeller (Phifer); daughter, Tammy Allen; grandson, Noah Allen; sister, Carole Dagaris; Brother Larry Zoeller; sister-in-law, Joan Zoeller; nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Stjudes.org, HopeforLifeRescue.com, or any charity of your choice.
