Rikke Pastore, age 44, a life-long Burnt Hills resident, died suddenly, in her sleep, on Saturday, September 5, 2020, while at her parents’ home taking care of her mother. Rikke was born on March 20, 1976 in Niskayuna, New York to loving parents Richard and Cathleen Pastore.

Rikke attended Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, Class of 1994 and following graduation she joined the service industry, working in various restaurant service positions. Her outgoing personality and friendly demeanor let her excel in these positions and she thrived when interacting with patrons.

Rikke was known for her giant heart and kindness. She was loyal, always willing to help, and would stop at nothing to make someone happy. Her family was the most important thing to her, and she was immensely proud of her four sons. In her younger years, Rikke would tap into her artistic side, loving to draw and putting together scrapbooks. She loved her animals and throughout her whole life had various pets that she doted on.

Her friends and family will remember Rikke for her unique personal style, she loved Indian jewelry and shell necklaces, and her quirky characteristics that made her stand out from the crowd in the best way. She was known for speaking in random voices while going about her day, her crazy driving, impulsive dancing ability and having a cough that could wake up the neighbor. Rikke’s love and joy will be missed by all those who knew her.

Along with her parents, Richard and Cathleen she is survived by her sons, Michael Pastore, Kyle Pastore-Sherman and Jackson James Pastore-Barker; her dear sister Arin and her family, Gabe and Marco Zollinger and her loving fiancé, Jeffrey Andrews.

Rikke is predeceased by her infant son, Tristian Pastore-Barker.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 11:00am in Sweetman Cemetery, Charlton. All are welcome to gather beginning at 10:30.
