Brenda Simmons was born in Baldwin County-Milledgeville, GA on October 16, 1949 to both the late Theodore Simmons and Phyllis Harris. She departed this life on September 7, 2020 at her residence.
At a very young age, Brenda joined the Rock Mill Baptist Church of Milledgeville, GA. She later moved to Thomson, GA and attended the R. L Norris High School from which she graduated. She then began employment with the former Uniroyal, Incorporated of Thomson, GA, and after leaving there she became a stay-at-home mother. Brenda attended the McDuffie County Senior Citizens Center of Thomson, GA, and was a member of its support group where she served as Secretary.
Our beloved Brenda is survived by those who will cherish her memory: a loving and devoted son, Michael L. Simmons of Thomson, GA; two grandchildren, Diamone Engram of Warrenton, GA and Darius Albea of Grovetown, GA; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson Albea of Grovetown, GA and Jade Engram of Warrenton, GA; three special and devoted cousins, Valerie Parham of Milledgeville, GA, Roslyn (John) Trawick along with their son, who was like a second son to Brenda, Jordan Trawick, all of Fort Mitchell, AL; two close friends, Hannah Pass of Macon, GA and Kathy Moss of Thomson, GA; a host of other cousins and many additional loving friends.
