<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;">Leonard Michael &ldquo;Mike&rdquo; Barnett, 49, of Crossett, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.&nbsp; He was born on October 24, 1970, was a lifetime resident of Crossett, and a 1989 graduate of Crossett High School.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;">After high school, he received a small engine repair certification from the Louisiana Technical College and worked in the construction industry.&nbsp; He later began a career with Rexel Industrial Supply as their warehouse manager, along with becoming a licensed insurance agent, and delivering Shopper&rsquo;s Guide newspapers.&nbsp; Mike always dreamed of new business ventures and eventually started a &ldquo;Hot shot&rdquo; business with his mother, delivering much needed items to the mills.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;">He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and mud riding with his friends.&nbsp; He was a people person who never met a stranger and loved chatting with whoever he met.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;">He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Norris and Margaret Barnett, Roy Rice, and Kathrain Forrest.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;">He is survived by his father and step mother, Keith and Clara Barnett; his mother, Debbie Barnett; and one brother, Wade Barnett, all of Crossett; one step brother, Barry Buchner of Villonia, AR; and one step sister, Mechelle Buchner Winslow of Little Rock; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;">In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Unity Cemetery Fund.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;">There are no services scheduled at this time.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Leonard Michael “Mike” Barnett, 49, of Crossett, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.  He was born on October 24, 1970, was a lifetime resident of Crossett, and a 1989 graduate of Crossett High School.
