MURRAY MONTGOMERY COX FUNERAL HOME BASTROP, LOUISIANA CROSSETT, AR. William Murray Montgomery, a log truck driver, was born August 22, 1954 at Bastrop, Louisiana to the late Lester William Montgomery and Lizzie Freshour Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Along with his parents Murray is preceded in death by a sister Mary Procell. Murray is survived by his wife Tonya Randolph Montgomery; daughter Denise Hamilton and wife Toya; son Brad Montgomery and wife Misty; and his sister Georgia Chain and her husband Mike. He is also survived by his grandchildren Stephanie Thornton, Madison Montgomery, Caden Montgomery, Tristian Montgomery, Braylin Montgomery, Jayden Bray, and Alyssa Piper numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation with the family will be held on Monday, September 7, 2020 beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8th, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Myrick and Bro. Doug Edwards officiating. Committal service and burial will follow at Tillou Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Serving the family as pallbearers are Charlie Wilson, Wyatt Strebeck, Derek Hunter, Michael Bulloch, William Bowe, and Trevor Sisk. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Warner, Billy Montgomery, and David Montgomery.
