John K. Dugan Obituary

John K. Dugan, 75, of Imler, passed away Saturday September 5, 2020 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born November 9, 1944 in Windber, son of the late J. Russell Dugan and Dorothy (McCreary) Rexford. He married Beverly “Susie” Burket on February 20, 1965 in Winchester, VA.

 


Surviving are his wife, three children Jeff Dugan and wife Dawn, Jodi Glass and husband Dave and Karen Dugan, four grandchildren Justin and Cody (Autumn) Dugan and Kari and Kyle Glass, a great granddaughter Riley Dugan, a half brother Roger Sirko, three stepsisters Mary Lou, Roxanne and Nancy and special aunt and uncle Helene and Earl Ickes.

 


John was a 1962 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. He was employed at Champion Home Builders, SKF, Claster’s, Babcock Lumber and also drove school bus in the Claysburg School District for 40 years.

 


John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to their sporting events. He also enjoyed hunting, farming, gardening and riding his ATV.

 


Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

 


Memorial contributions may be given to the Imler Area Volunteer Fire Company, Claysburg Area Volunteer Fire Company or Mending Hearts.
