Kent Kinsey Wager Obituary

Kent Kinsey Wager 79, of Marble, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at his residence. He was a native of Davenport, IA but moved to Phoenix, AZ at a young age which he considered home. Kent joined the U.S. Navy where he became a radar operator. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran stationed in the Philippines and Japan. Kent began his career as a PVC pipe salesman before establishing his own manufactures representative firm, Wager Company of Florida Inc., while living in Lake Mary Florida. Kent was highly regarded among others in the industry. He took so many people under his wing and was thought of as an icon in the water works industry. He was a standing member of both the Florida and North Carolina sections of the Water Works Association and a member of the M.A.C. Council. He was the son of the Jack Kinsey and Evelyn Mae Boldt Wager. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Wager. Kent is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marilyn Wager, of Marble, two daughters; Marilyn Golden and Danny, of Clearlake, CA, and Kim Kowalski and Scott, of Sanford, FL, three sons; Frank Hill and Jamie, of Groveland FL, Kurt Wager and Maryann, of Yuba , CA, and Rusty Hill and Olivia , of Altamonte Springs, FL, one sister; Shari Farley of Nevada City, CA, 14 grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held in Central Florida and will be announced at a later date. Ivie Funeral Home , Murphy in charge of all arrangements.
