Francisco Bernal “Frank”, age 90, entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 5, 2020 after a brief illness. He graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1949. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army, where he served for 4 years during the Korean War. He retired from the Navy Civil Service at the Naval Air Station after 31 years of service. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and friend to many who knew him. Frank was an avid golfer and was a member of the Broadmoor Senior Center Volleyball Team.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Frank was the beloved husband of Yolanda G. Bernal. He is also survived by his children; Marie Annette, Frank Bernal, Jr., Criselda Olivares, Laurie Delome (Darrell), his sister; Beatrice Solis (Steve), five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
