David James Wharry, November 27, 1956 - September 5, 2020. It is with immense sadness that the family of Dave Wharry announces his passing on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at the age of 63. After a brave two year battle with cancer, Dave passed peacefully with his family by his side at Princess Margaret Hospital. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Doris, his children, Nicole and Robert and his precious dog, Rooby. He was the dearest son of the late Bill and Isabel Wharry and dearest son-in-law of Lucy and the late Gino Moro. Dave will also be fondly remembered by his lovely sister Liz, (Allen deceased), niece Meredith and his many great friends from all over the world. Dave was an incredible man who touched the lives of everyone he met. Whether it was his passion for music, travelling, BBQ or, his love for his friends and family, Dave made the most of every moment of his time with us. After his seasoned career as a sales executive he turned his attention to the community and the needs of others. In 2018, he founded the non-for-profit charity Guitars for Kids Toronto which has since donated over 150 guitars to children in need. We will deeply miss Dave and will carry his legacy, kindness, and love in our hearts forever. A celebration of life will be held at a later date where his family and friends can come together and share stories and memories.
