Marilyn Jean Fairfull, 85, of Virden, died Saturday, September 5, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 13, 1934 in Virden, Illinois the daughter of Ben ad Hatibell Osborne. Marilyn was a farm wife that was always helping in the field, from hauling grain to the bins to cooking the meals to feed her guys. She never forgot to deliver them their afternoon snacks to the field either. Marilyn loved her garden and canning, and she passed that on to her girls. Marilyn loved when her great-grandchildren came running into the room, that always brought a smile to her face, they all loved their Gigi! Marilyn was a member of the Presbyterian Church, PEO, Eastern Star and she so enjoyed her monthly outings with the swat girls. She was survived by her son, Bruce (Jill) Fairfull; daughters, Connie (Kim) Ball and LuAnn Braker; grandchildren Ashley (Dustin) Plowman, Bryan (Kelsie) Fairfull, Jay (Erin) Fairfull, Carrie (Buddy Blackmon) Ball, Christina (Corey) Watson, Ciera (Kiel Ulery) Ball and Aubree Braker; great-grandchildren, Hinlee, Lake, Grayson, Emma, Brooks, Ellie, Quinn, Isabella, Alexia, Kylie and Kadence and her dearest friend Nancy Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Fairfull; parents, Ben and Hatibell Osborne; sister Bendena Enrietta and her beloved dog Gage. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 10am – 11am at Airsman-Calvert Funeral Home in Virden, IL with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Virden Cemetery.
