Passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on September 5, 2020, surrounded by her loving family Matilda Traverse (nee Collins) age 82 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Frank Traverse, parents Flora & Cornelius Gambin and Jerome Collins, brothers: Nish Collins, Pat Collins, Mike Collins and sisters Mary E. Traverse and Mary Greene Leaving to mourn sons: Jerry (Julie), Paul (Cavelle) and Darrell (Darlene), daughters Denise Mulrooney (Joe), Brenda Burke (Calvin) and Myra. 14 grandchildren: Crystal, Stacey, Donny, Ryan,Travis, Renee, Priscilla, Natasha, Jordan, Brenda, Erica, Nolan, Alyssa, and Elizabeth, 14 great grandchildren: Annabelle, Amber, Zachary, Eli, Odin, Alaina, Wesley, Ford, Maxwell, Harper, Olivia, Rory, Avery and Everleigh, Sisters: Imelda Bailey (Bill), Winnie Barry (Ed) and Veronica Grover(Ron). Brothers: Dan Gambin (Cis, deceased), Leo Gambin (Julie), Cornelius Gambin (Madeline)and John Gambin(Anita), in laws: Lizzie Blanche, Judy Leonard, Ann Drolette, sister Mary Collins, brother in law Ligouri Traverse and a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff at the Lions Manor especially: JudyFollett, Tina Hickey, Leighanne Newhook and Maggie Ward, also a hugh thanks to Gertie Windsor, moms homecare worker for 5 years. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Monday September 7 : 1:00 -4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 8, at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast.
