Alford, Jr., 75, of McRae, died suddenly on Saturday, September 5.</p> <p>The son of the late James Carson Alford, Sr. and the late Jewell Annette Gupton Alford, James was a truck driver for Pepperidge Farms and Campbell's Soup. He was preceded in death by brother, Morris G. Alford and a sister, Sandra Johns.</p> <p>Survivors include a daughter, Brenda (Michael, Sr.) Wakelee of Vienna, VA; son, Daniel Alford of Tempe, AZ; brother, David Ronald Alford of McRae; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wakelee and Michael Wakelee.</p>March 22, 1945 - September 5, 202003/22/194509/05/2020
