Helen Lambert Jordan

Helen Lambert Jordan, 73, of Andrews passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 in an Atlanta medical center. She was a native of Cherokee County and was raised on Lambert Cove prior to moving to Andrews in 8th grade. Helen lived in Robbinsville for 20 years before moving back to Andrews in 1986. She worked all her life in the sewing industry for Berkshire, American Uniforms, and Lee’s. She enjoyed sewing and making dresses for others. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband to music events. Helen was a member of Junaluska Baptist Church. She was a soft- spoken woman, who always put others before herself. Helen was the daughter of the late Wade and Ardina Lambert and wife of the late Jimmy Jordan. She is also preceded in death by a son; Max Jordan, a sister; Mary Ruth Jordan, and a brother; Jerry Lambert. She is survived by a son Steve Jordan and wife, Sue, of Andrews, a sister; Frances Lambert West and husband, Roy, of Andrews, a brother; Jim Lambert and wife, Bobbie, of Andrews, a grand-daughter: Alyssa Nell Jordan, of Andrews, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Jimmy’s Pick-N-Grin with Rev. Tully Griggs officiating. Interment was at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott West, Tim West, Brian Lambert, Brian Tomlin, Billy Carringer, and Lynn Moody. The family received friends prior to the services from 5:00 - 6:45 P.M. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Jimmy’s Pick-N-Grin in Andrews. Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews in charge of all arrangements.
